Job Title: Corporate Manager

IBS Bank is looking to fill the position of a corporate manager

The role reports to the Head of corporate

Job type: Full time

Location: Mogadishu

Job Purpose:

  • Prospecting for new Corporate, and high net worth clients and meet the set targets NOT LESS THAN 10 MILLION STABLE DEPOSITS
  • Developing and implementing business growth strategies for different clients/sectors for the bank
  • Active management of existing clients including increasing wallet share
  • Participating in presentations to clients and marketing drives and other relationship management activities
  • Managing an active portfolio of corporate clients in an active ecosystem

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in key areas to the all staff within the Corporate department
  • Participate in business appropriate strategies, policies, improvements in processes and implementation.
  • Support Head of Corporate and Institutions banking in preparing and presenting business strategies, plans for approval and integration into the bank’s overall plan.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for growth.
  • Design business strategies and manage all day-to-day activities.
  • Designing business strategies and plans to meet the company goals.
  • Support in coordinating services of the department in the market and with the rest of the bank and promote team work within the department and with the rest of the Bank.
  • Participate in the designing, formulation, execution and adoption of promotional plans and activities.
  • Ensure customer issues are conclusively monitored and handled in a timely manner
  • Managing an effective, accurate and efficient business information including market information with correct interpretations that offers accurate insights into customer needs, competition and market business innovations that include products and services.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are accurately & consistently applied including staff KPIS assessments.
  • Monitor performance of activities and strategies that will achieve and exceed targets including appropriate reviews that respond to a continuously changing environment.
  • Ensure compliance to the rules and regulations governing the business. These includes Compliance to KYC and AML policies, compliance to HR, Credit and financial policies as well as compliance to other banking regulations, product/service and brand promises.

Objectives of your position:

  • Revenue levels compared to targets
  • Bank’s profitability compared to profitability targets.
  • Deposits compared to targets.

 

Skills and Qualifications

For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria;

University degree in relevant business discipline from a recognized and reputable institution, Master’s degree is an added advantage.

At least 4 years’ experience in sales & service management in corporate customer lending requirements.

Strong people management skills and thorough knowledge of banking products and services, including wider understanding of the general corporate banking universe.

Strong communications, negotiations, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and structure corporate customer lending requirements. Demonstrable sound knowledge of digital financial services and their relevance to corporate.

Persuasive ability, including strong communications, negotiations and interpersonal skills with the ability to win Business.

Team player and ability to work with minimum supervision. Solutions oriented mind set and creative thinking abilities.

A good understanding of Risk, Compliance policies and procedures Knowledge of current trends and best practice in Banking

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to network, generate new business and develop strong
