Job Title: GBV/CPIMS+Coordinator

Reporting to Technically: Program Development and quality Director

Reporting to Functional: Area Manager, Banadir & Hirshabelle Regions

Location:  Jowhar, Balcad and Adale (Middle Shabele)

Job Summary:

The CPIMS+ coordinator is contributing to the accomplishment of the stated key end-results by providing professional expertise and assistance in information/data collection, statistics and data analysis, monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and preparation of reports. S/He is the administrator of the CPIMS+ in SoS CV Somalia. S/He completes situation monitoring and assessment. He/She has also a key role in capacity building of staff on monitoring and evaluation processes and tools:

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to- day administration of the national CPIMS; this role will include the following functions: In coordination with the CP AOR update the registration for new users/agencies in CPIMS+
  • Defining user rights, privileges, and access for new users in SOS CV Somalia.
  • Management of users within SOS CV Somalia i.e. adding new users, deleting users in consultation with the CP AoR IMO
  • Provide helpdesk support to users in the SOS CV Somalia and act as a link between the CP AoR IMO and users.
  • Keep track of bugs/glitches and share with the CP AoR for support.
  • Identify new enhancements and features needed to respond to emerging/evolving programme requirements.
  • Communicate release of software updates to users Support the development and roll out training programmes for various users, i.e. frontline social workers, case managers/supervisors, child protection managers and case management service providers.
  • Generate monthly reports and statistics from the CPIMS+ and send regular updates to key users within SOS CV Somalia. This role will require skills to analyze data, discover new knowledge/trends and generate reports. ·
  • Support implementation of other information management systems related to so child protection.
  • In consultation with CP AOR and CMTF, use data in CPIMS+ to advocate for documented children to be provided with services.
  • Keep track of cases that have not gone through key case management steps and liaise with the respective case managers to ensure action is taken. ·
  • Support the SOS CV Somalia to set up monitoring and reporting mechanisms on child protection cases managed by the team and develop tools as necessary for mapping and easy reporting to donors.
  • Perform other duties as directed by SOS CV Somalia.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in social work, information management/technology, social science or equivalent. Candidates with a combination of social work and information management qualifications will have an added advantage and therefore encouraged to apply.
  • At least 3 years of experience in child protection focusing on data management, statistics, and knowledge management.
  • Prior experience in use of the CPIMS will be an added advantage. ·
  • Excellent writing and communication skills is a key requirement since regular briefs and reports will be sent to child protection stakeholders on regular basis. ·
  • Excellent analytical skills and organization skills: the ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage a multi-facetted workload.
